2017-2018 was productive

We have increased our microsurgical experience. Chiefs have graduated with an average of 157 free flaps, over half of them done in the chief year. Additionally, we have created a dedicated aesthetic curriculum with faculty specializing in aesthetic plastic surgery, dermatology, and oculoplastics. Our chief resident aesthetic clinic has grown in size with dedicated clinic time.

As a residency, in 2017-2018, we have published 61 peer reviewed papers and book chapters.  Our residents gave presentations at 45 regional, national and international conferences.

Furthermore, we welcomed three additional faculty, Drs. Kleiber (peripheral nerve), Del Corral (Microsurgery), Martin (wound care).
